MSOE senior forward Mike Turcott (Brookfield, Wis.) positioned himself atop of the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) record book when he scored a goal with 13 seconds left in the last regular season game. The goal, which gave him 90 points in MCHA action, was the 44th of his illustrious career. Turcott broke the mark of 89 held by Marian College’s Dave Chipman.
MSOE senior forward Lee Jenke (Brookfield, Wis.) was selected as Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) All-Conference First Team. Last season, Jenke was on the MCHA All-Conference Second Team.Jenke led the MSOE Raider hockey team in scoring with 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points. During the season, he was also selected as “Player of the Week” three times.
Dominic Federighe will receive his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in May, 2002.

Mike Schwoch received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in December, 2001.
Tyler Matlock transferred to UW-Madison for the first semester of the 2001-2001 academic year.
Pat Courtney is a sophomore at UW-Whitewater. Pat plans to transfer to UW-Madison next fall where he expects to major in Meteorology with a Business Marketing minor. He will be attending the Turcott Cup and playing in the alumni game.
According to semi-reliable sources, Tim McShane is coaching the JV squad at University School.
Bryan Padovano is on the JV Squad at Gustavus Aldophus in Minnesota. Bryan notched a goal on a slap shot in his first game versus Augsburg, and was also a plus 2 in the team's 7-3 loss.
Mike Turcott and Lee Jenke are teammates again. This time they are playing for Milwaukee School of Engineering. Turcott is in his fourth season at MSOE. Lee joined the MSOE team after Thanksgiving of last year and opened the season with a goal and six assists in the team's opening series of the 2001-2002 season.
The Wisconsin Hockey News reported in its October 20 edition that Jackie Peplinski will play hockey for UW-Eau Claire. Jackie attended Brookfield Central until she transferred to Shattuck St. Marys for her senior year. Her brothers, Mike and Craig played for the Stars (Icemen) and their parents, Bob and Vicki were very important contributors to the initial success of Brookfield High School hockey.
Adam Walsh was elected one of two Freshman representatives to the UW-Madison Student Government. His election victory was a record number of votes for a freshman.
The Kapke brothers have all atttended college in "Norsk" country. Eric graduated in 2000 from the University of Minnesota as a software engineer. Brian is currently pursuing a degree in fine arts at the U. of M. Marc is attending the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire ( this alumni thinks it is a great school) where he is a freshman in computer science.
Brookfield Alumni are close to being able to put together a pretty good hockey team at UW-Madison. Currently attending the UW flagship campus are Craig Peplinski, Mike Federighe, Colin Sedushak, and Eric Lengell. They have been joined in the Fall by three members of the Class of 2001 - Jon Hiles, Jeremy Baier and Adam Walsh.
In a recent letter to the Webmaster, Tom Kunicki laid claim to being the oldest person to have played Brookfield High School hockey. Tom played goalie as a senior in the first year for the high school team. Tom graduated from UW-Madison in 1997 with a B.S. degree in Computer Science and Molecular Biology. He is currently working with a start-up company in Madison developing an atomic level microscope. Some interesting comments from Tom were that he had learned how to skate during his junior year and that "the experience made me a pretty mean goalie. I'd give anyone within reach the business end of the goalie stick."
Scott Hochmuth is attending UW-Waukesha where he has found a new athletic pursuit - golf. Scott played on the UW-Waukesha team that went to the state tournament. Scott will be snowboarding in Colorado during the Winter break and will miss the Alumni game.
Dan Stierman is currently at Arizona State University where he is majoring in Industrial Design.
Steve Hochmuth, who played Junior B hockey and also played in numerous charity hockey games (including playing with the Hanson brothers), is currently manager at Hockey Haven. He is also the coach for the Piranhas, a women's hockey team whose home ice is The Pond.
Tim McShane will earn a degree in Film/Cinema Studies in May 2000. He has played club hockey at both Northern Arizona University and the University of Kansas. Tim hopes to move to Southern California after graduation and get a job with a film studio.
Colin Sedushak and Eric Lengell are freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
